Duncan Wong

Duncan is a senior associate who specialises in development, with seven years of relevant experience. He will be on hand to give clients practical and commercial advice and works flexibly to achieve completion of projects in what can be a time sensitive market.

Duncan has experience in acting for developers, institutional lenders and local authorities in the Real Estate market in relation to acquisitions, disposals, developments and financing. As well as a good background of general property law work, Duncan has gathered a range of experience relating to urban regeneration projects. One of his most recent successes includes acting on behalf of the developer in the development and disposal of 177 residential leases to a Housing Association.

Experience

  • Assisting English Cities Fund with land assembly, subsequent financing and development (GDV of circa £150 million) of three residential blocks
  • Transport for London on:
    • advised and dealt with the London Liverpool Street Redevelopment;
    • building maintenance unit oversail licence at Eastcheap;
    • delivery of the cycle hire scheme across London sites; and
    • construction compound leases and utility service bridge easements with Network Rail for the Structures and Tunnels Improvement Programme (STIP).
  • Advising London Borough of Barnet in relation to the regeneration of Brent Cross. Duncan has recently assisted the Council with the acquisition of land adjoining the railway from Network Rail.
  • Advising an industry leading residential developer in the acquisition of a 1960's office building for a mixed used scheme in the Marylebone area for a circa £100 million scheme.
  • Acquisition of land for a school to be redeveloped into a sports centre.
