Elayna specialises in strategic land deals and in complex land acquisitions and disposals.

Elayna predominantly acts for national house builders, helping them to successfully acquire and dispose of land for residential development across the UK.

Having spent several years in a wider commercial development and investment role, she draws on her in-depth experience and knowledge of the practicalities of the sector when advising on mixed use and strategic land schemes.

Her ability to quickly grasp legal and commercial issues ensures Elayna is able to anticipate problems, provide practical solutions and put in place robust and effective agreements, including conditional contracts, options, promotion agreements and collaboration agreements.

Experience

  • Advising a national property developer in its collaboration with landowners to bring forward the redevelopment of a new, complex, multi-phase community including 1,500 new homes, a new school and community facilities.
  • Advising a number of national house builders in their acquisition of land intended for residential development, drafting complex contracts, options and overage agreements and carrying out due diligence.
  • Advising an international property developer in the property aspects of the formation of a new development venture intended to acquire land, develop buildings, and operate and hold real estate.
  • Advising a national investment company in the site set up and disposal of a multi-phase, mixed use development site, including estate management strategies.
  • Advising a national house builder in its disposal of affordable housing to registered providers across a number of different developments.
  • Advising a national property developer in its disposal of residential apartment blocks, with one block being acquired by a registered provider to provide affordable housing the remainder being forward-purchased for private rental.
