Emily Coulson is an associate in Gowling WLG's Hamilton office. She practices in general corporate law and routinely advises clients on all matters of corporate and commercial law relevant to the entire lifecycle of a business, including incorporation and structuring, private mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements, corporate reorganizations, and franchising.
Emily is committed to providing strategic legal guidance that aligns with business goals of her clients, helping them navigate complex corporate transactions and M&A deals. Through a deep understanding of each client's unique needs, she delivers personalized, effective solutions that drive long-term success and foster lasting professional relationships.
Emily received a dual Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy in 2020. During law school, she spent her time serving the local community, including volunteering at the Downtown Mission in Windsor; acting as a facilitator for the High School Outreach program, which assisted students in preparing for mock trial; and advocating for veterans with disability claims at the Veterans Law Clinic in Detroit.
Prior to law school, Emily earned an honours BSc in Kinesiology at McMaster University.
