Felicity Lindsay

Felicity Lindsay is a London-based real estate partner who leads our commercial development and investment team.

She is also sector lead for the offices sub-sector and specialises in direct and indirect office investment transactions, large-scale office developments and lettings. She acts on both the landlord and tenant side of deals, bringing broad and deep experience and a commercial and pragmatic approach. She has particular experience in portfolio acquisitions and disposals, forward fundings, especially of long income assets and in providing strategic advice on the value add side of portfolio management for institutional investors, including helping to formulate and to realise their ESG goals. As well as advising on Green clauses, she also has expertise in promoting the 'S' from ESG in leases.

She is a member of the Model Commercial Lease drafting committee and a trustee of the firm's Charitable Trust.

Felicity acts for private and also public bodies, including Government Property Agency in relation to their national government hubs programme. She is the lead partner for HMRC and has recently advised them on the exit from their largest PFI contract.

Her clients include Royal London, LXI REIT plc, Knight Frank Investment Management, St Modwen Properties, Red Bull, CERN, Government Property Agency and the Worshipful Company of Cutlers for whom she acts across a variety of asset classes.

Experience

  • Acting for Royal London Asset Management Limited on its 50:50 joint venture with CDC Investissement Immobilier, the real estate arm of €177 billion pension giant Caisse des Dépôts, on the £115 million acquisition of 1 St John's Lane in Farringdon. This important strategic deal is the establishment of a "wider relationship" with future acquisitions by the partnership expected in due course.
  • Advising Government Property Agency on a pre-let to the Home Office of bespoke office space at Croydon Hub at 2 Ruskin Square, forward funded by Schroders.
  • Advising Royal London Mutual Insurance Society Limited on the acquisition of Centrica's base on Oxford Business Park.
  • Advising KFIM Long Income Property Unit Trust on the acquisition and forward funding of various asset types and LXI REIT Plc on its pipeline of long income assets including a diverse range of asset classes including hotels, petrol filling stations, car showrooms and supermarkets.
  • Advising Royal London Asset Management Limited on its move to its new Square Mile headquarters at 80 Fenchurch Street, Central London.
