Gabrielle Matheson

Gabrielle Matheson is an associate in Gowling WLG's Vancouver office. She works in the firm's Advocacy Department and is a member of the Environmental practice group. Her practice focuses on a wide range of environmental, Indigenous, commercial, and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Gabrielle was a judicial law clerk at the British Columbia Court of Appeal.  

Gabrielle received her JD from the Peter A. Allard School of Law (UBC), where she studied as a JD student fellow for the Centre for Law and the Environment. While in law school, she competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition and received the Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats Prize in Public International Law.

Prior to law school, Gabrielle completed a BA in political science at Queen’s University and an MA in political science the University of British Columbia. Her research focused on global environmental politics and contemporary responses to climate change.

Outside the office, Gabrielle enjoys travelling, skiing, and walking her dog in Pacific Spirit Park.
