Helen Monro

Helen Monro helps clients to progress commercial real estate transactions smoothly, so that they can secure the investment (or return on that investment) that they are looking for.

Helen works with both property developers and investors, advising on acquisitions, disposals and ongoing management of their real estate assets. When purchasing land for commercial development, establishing that that land is fit for purpose is crucial. Helen has an accurate and efficient approach, focusing on the practical steps needed to assure her clients that their investment is worthwhile.

For investors she is adept at adapting to their specific objectives and takes a commercial perspective on the overall management of their portfolio, assisting them to get the best return on each individual asset - whether that be by disposal, active management or acquiring new property. Working across the full range of asset classes, Helen appreciates that bringing her best to every transaction and building trusted relationships with her clients is just as important as the law and strives to get them where they need to be.

During her training contract Helen fell in love with property. Helen discovered that there is so much more to it than you would ever realise until you get into the nitty gritty - an endless number of obscure problems that can arise, which we then have to find imaginative ways to solve!

Real estate is fundamentally a discipline filled with clients that really appreciate the help that we can give them - it has a profound effect on them and their business success, while it also embraces the challenging technical side of the law. It's that variety that she really enjoys.
