James has 10 years' experience of advising a range of clients including private individuals, family offices, asset managers, investment advisers and investors of all types. He specialises in complex joint venture and club arrangements, particularly in the real estate sector. James also advises financial institutions on fundraisings and investment management structures. He also has experience of advising on co-investments, segregated mandates and core regulatory documents. Experience

• Advising Hyde Housing Association on its complex new partnership arrangement with Homes England and a private sector institution. A development joint venture that will target 20,000 homes over the next 10 years.
• Advising TLM on asset management arrangements, including in relation to the acquisition of 6 Cavendish Place, London.
• Acting for an asset manager on a PRS joint venture.
• Acting for a pan-European fund manager on various co-investment initiatives (aggregate commitments of £150 million).
• Acting for a real estate investment and development company on a range of UK property projects across sectors including commercial and residential, mixed-use development, strategic land and asset-backed operating businesses.
• Acting for a pan-European fund manager on the establishment and closing of a pooled debt investment vehicle.
• Acting for a real estate investment management firm on a joint venture centred on a development asset.
