Jason Brandt

Jason Brandt is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office. Jason will focus his summer work in the Intellectual Property Group.

Jason is completing his JD degree at the University of Alberta.

Prior to entering law school, Jason was a postdoctoral researcher at Princeton University working on the development of novel catalytic systems for the synthesis of polyolefin materials. Jason completed his PhD in chemistry at the University of British Columbia, focusing on synthetic organic and inorganic chemistry to develop new catalysts for the synthesis of complex amines. His academic work has resulted in a number of publications and presentations at conferences. He has also served as an academic reviewer for chemistry journals.

Originally from Edmonton, Jason is an avid Oilers fan. In his spare time, he is always trying to teach his border collie a trick.
