Jay Lu

Jay Lu is a summer student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office. She is completing her JD/BCL degree at McGill University, with a major concentration on commercial negotiation and dispute resolution.

During her studies, Jay has completed a clerkship with the Municipal Court of Montreal and competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. She also has worked as a legal intern in the in-house counsel of a Canadian crown corporation.

Jay is very involved in the community and has volunteered with the Legal Information Clinic at McGill and the Law Student’s Legal Advice Program.

Prior to attending law school, Jay obtained her BA from McGill University, with a double major in political science and world religions. In addition to her studies, she was active in student government and worked on the Mental Health Policy of the Student Society of McGill University.
