Jordan Narod

Jordan Narod is an associate in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office and a member of the Corporate Commercial, Funds and Private M&A Practice Group. His practice focuses on corporate commercial matters, with particular experience in the technology, telecommunications, and governance sectors.

 

Jordan advises clients on a broad range of commercial and strategic matters, including the negotiation and drafting of complex commercial agreements, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and business relationships involving both public and private sector stakeholders. He regularly supports Crown corporations, not-for-profit organizations, charities and private businesses on operational, transactional and government-facing matters.

 

Jordan also provides services to Canada's sport sector, where he serves as an independent investigator and adjudicator in matters involving allegations of serious misconduct and maltreatment. Through this work, he has developed experience managing sensitive investigations, assessing complex fact patterns, and producing clear, defensible decisions.

 

Jordan also brings substantial telecommunications and broadcasting regulatory experience. While serving as legal counsel for a major Canadian telecommunications company through a secondment, he worked closely with business and legal teams on a variety of regulatory matters before the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission.

 

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Jordan practised at a boutique Ottawa law firm, where he advised entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses throughout all stages of growth. This experience provided him with a broad commercial foundation spanning corporate structuring, governance, transactions, employment matters, dispute resolution and commercial contracting.
