Julie d’Auteuil

Julie d’Auteuil joined Gowling WLG’s Montreal office as a law student in May 2017, and will start articling with the firm in 2019.

Before pursuing her bachelor’s degree in law at the Université de Montréal, Julie earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from McGill University and a master’s degree in international studies at the Institut québécois des Hautes études internationales (HEI). She also studied international relations (international security) at Aberystwyth University (UK).

While pursuing her MA, Julie interned at the department of Global Affairs Canada as a Canadian economic policy junior analyst. In addition to her academic background, Julie served in the Canadian Armed Forces as a military police officer.

Having a strong interest in Indigenous law, she is currently chair of Université de Montréal’s Indigenous Law Committee.
