Julie L. Wilson
Julie L. Wilson is a Legal Resources & Innovation Lawyer in the Waterloo Region office of Gowling WLG. She practises in the areas of business law and legal operations.
She is part of the team of business law lawyers within the Innovation and Knowledge Programs group. In this role, she serves as an internal consultant to professionals across the firm, delivering both traditional and innovative solutions for their commercial, corporate and other business law issues.
Julie develops and maintains annotated model precedents for the extensive precedents system used by professionals across the firm, works closely with the firm's general counsel and risk management team, and has experience generating and promoting strategies for innovation, knowledge management, client solutions, technology adoption, and workflow improvements.
Prior to joining Gowling WLG, she practised in the financial services and real estate law departments for a large Global law firm.
Julie is passionate about issues related to mental health and diversity, equity and inclusion. She co-authored and served as co-leader of the firm's first mental health strategy, and is actively involved with diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives at the firm.
She is Chair of the Board of Directors for The Elora Singers and Three Centuries Festival.
