Bio
Kalie Rhéaume is a bilingual summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office.
Kalie is completing her JD/LLL. in the Programme de droit canadien at the University of Ottawa and will begin her third year of law school in the fall. During her studies, Kalie is highly involved in the law student community as a mentor, PDC Representative, co-VP of Communications and loves to volunteer at moot competitions as a judge or clerk when she is not one of the competitors. She also enjoys providing support and guidance to her fellow students as a facilitator at the Career and Professional Development Centre. As a longtime high-level athlete, Kalie can be found competing in tournaments as a Gee-Gee’s badminton team member or on the field playing soccer intramurals with her classmates.
Prior to entering law school, Kalie completed an undergraduate degree in human kinetics (Faculty of Health Sciences) at the University of Ottawa. Kalie is very community minded and has been deeply involved in helping and supporting vulnerable groups, especially children and young adults with autism spectrum disorders. Kalie was also a child & family support volunteer at the Roger Nielson House during her undergraduate studies. Her blend of compassion, discretion and trustworthy nature can always be relied on.
Kalie will focus her summer term in the firm’s Advocacy Department.
