Katrina Coughlin

Katrina Coughlin is an associate in the business law department of Gowling WLG's Ottawa office. Her practice is focused primarily on commercial and regulatory law related to foods, drugs, natural health products, cosmetics, animal feeds and other agricultural products.

She has experience working with companies on product commercialization issues, including classification, licensing, temporary marketing authorizations for foods, advertising, packaging and labelling, formulation and ingredient reviews, site licensing, recalls, distribution, and manufacturing. Her practice also includes regulatory compliance and commercial issues that relate to multi-level marketing, direct selling and consumer protection.

Drawing on her prior experience working at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Katrina assists clients interacting with Health Canada, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Industry Canada and Environment Canada, as well as provincial and territorial regulators.
