Kevin Kolumbus

Kevin Kolumbus is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Hamilton office.

During his studies, Kevin was a volunteer caseworker at Queen’s University’s Legal Aid Clinic, where he helped low income people in Kingston resolve their landlord & tenant disputes and obtain compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. He was also the program coordinator for the Queen’s Chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada, where he helped establish, and managed, projects that matched law students with public interest organisations and legal clinics. These projects included completing legal research, providing legal information and assisting with client intakes and document filing in areas such as Indigenous, constitutional and human rights, immigration and refugee, health and family law.

Prior to attending law school, Kevin worked as an underwriting trainee with Intact Insurance from 2013 – 2014 in Mississauga, where he worked with brokers to sell and price commercial property and casualty insurance.

Kevin also completed an Honours in Business Administration at Wilfrid Laurier University. Throughout his undergraduate program, Kevin was actively involved in fundraising with various charities and public interest groups, such as Shinerama and Relay for Life. He was also an active member of the Laurier Marketing Association.
