Kimberley has a broad range of experience advising clients, including RPs, house builders, promoters and developers, in relation to residential development. Having wide ranging experience acting on both sides of a transaction, Kimberley understands the key issues for both parties and takes a pragmatic approach to unlocking them.

Experience

  • Advising national house builders on the sale of affordable housing to for-profit and not-for-profit affordable housing providers on section 106 unit acquisitions on a golden brick and turnkey basis.
  • Acting for house builders, promoters and developers generally including on complex strategic assembly sites with multiple landowners with elements of phased payments, conditionality and overages.
  • Advising developer and promoter clients on securing sites by way of promotion agreements/option agreements and then advising on the acquisition and/or sub-sale on the open market.
  • Advising house builders and developers on land acquisitions on a conditional and unconditional basis.
  • Assisting with the due diligence for the delivery of a new university campus in Northampton together with the redevelopment of the old campus for a house builder client.
  • Assisting with the redevelopment of a golf course to provide for residential development and the delivery of a new school.
  • Advising on restrictive covenants and easements affecting target sites to unlock development.
  • Advising on licences, overage arrangements and legal charges.
  • Advising for-profit and not-for-profit affordable housing providers on section 106 unit acquisitions on a golden brick and turnkey basis.
  • Advising RP clients on land acquisitions on a conditional and unconditional basis.
  • Carrying out due diligence, preparing title reports and procuring title insurance for clients acquiring and developing land.

Acting for RP clients on various infrastructure agreements including section 38, 104 and 278 agreements, utility easements and substation transfers often within tight timescales
