Laura Nation

Laura is a principal associate in the planning team. She specialises in all aspects of town and country planning and highways law, advising a broad range of clients across both contentious and non-contentious matters. Laura's practice covers a variety of planning issues, including drafting complex planning obligations, highways and development agreements, pursuing and defending High Court claims and advising in respect of compulsory purchase and environmental impact assessment. Laura also has experience relating to Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects in the transport sector.

Experience

  • Securing planning permission for the redevelopment of AFC Wimbledon's new football stadium and associated residential development;
  • Advising a land promoter on a number of major proposed residential-led developments in the UK, cumulatively accounting for approximately 6,000 homes;
  • Promoting development consent orders for major road schemes in the North West of England and providing strategic advice as to the implementation of development consent order powers;
  • Petitioning on behalf of a client against the High-Speed Rail (London - West Midlands) Bill, including an appearance before the Select Committee.
