Leah is a Senior Paralegal in the Employment, Labour & Equalities team based in Birmingham.

Leah deals with a range of employment issues and works with a variety of public sector and private sector clients. She regularly helps to progress Employment Tribunal claims involving issues of discrimination, whistleblowing and wrong and unfair dismissal.

Leah's experience also includes supporting clients on matters such as negotiating and preparing settlement agreements and reviewing contracts of employment and company policies.

Experience

  • Defending Employment Tribunal claims for a range of public sector and private sector clients including claims for: unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and discriminations claims.
  • Assisting with carrying out a sensitive environmental and cultural review process for a client.
  • Defending County Court claims for clients and brought claims for Clients in the County Court and High Court, including for breaches of employment of contracts.
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts of employment and staff handbooks and policies.
