Liam Turner

Liam is a Leeds-based senior associate. He helps companies to buy, sell and otherwise deal with land and buildings and has advised numerous private and public sector clients, including national house builders and local authorities.

Liam specialises in the development of immediate and strategic land (whether for residential, commercial or mixed use) involving the preparation and negotiation of option agreements, conditional contracts and hybrid agreements together with other property-related matters (from initial title review right through to site acquisition and onward sale).

Experience

• Acting for Barratt and David Wilson Homes in respect of their title due diligence for the purchase of Harworth's largest ever serviced residential land sale by number of plots, at Waverley.
• Advising Taylor Wimpey in respect of their title due diligence for the joint purchase (with Home Group) of a large brownfield site in Eaglescliffe from a company in administration. This site involved complex remediation and title issues.
• Assisting on title due diligence related to Bradford Council's acquisition of the Kirkgate Shopping Centre, as part of its strategy for the regeneration of Bradford city centre.
• Supporting on advice to a private client in relation to a phased disposal of 80 acres of farmland for development as a logistics hub, known as Doncaster North.
