Luke Sabourin is an associate at Gowling WLG (Canada) LLP in Toronto, where he maintains a broad civil litigation practice with experience acting in complex commercial and insurance litigation.
He provides strategic legal advice and representation to clients through all stages of the civil litigation process and has appeared on behalf of clients in the Ontario Court of Appeal, Divisional Court, Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice, Small Claims Court and various administrative tribunals. Luke also maintains an active pro bono practice and was named to Pro Bono Ontario’s Access to Justice Honour Roll in 2024.
Beyond his litigation work, Luke is passionate about legal education. He recently co-taught first-year torts at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law, where he was voted “Best Practitioner Lecturer” for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Luke earned his Juris Doctor from Queen’s University, where he was a bronze medalist and received multiple academic awards. He holds an undergraduate degree in Canadian-American Political Relations from the University of Western Ontario, where he graduated with distinction and received the Western Gold Medal.
