Madeline Creevy

Madeline deals with complex land acquisitions and disposals but with a particular focus on strategic land work. She works alongside national housebuilders in helping them to acquire new development sites by ensuring robust agreements are put in place with landowners. Her ability to quickly grasp potential legal and commercial isuses means her clients benefit from clear, straightforward and succint advice.

Aside from strategic land work (such as options, promotion agreements, collaboration agreements and complex consortium projects), Madeline also advises on more "instant" acquisitions and disposals.

Experience

  • Working on the purchase of one of the last large greenfield development sites for 800+ units at Didcot, Oxfordshire for joint venture developer clients including the aquisition of land from another third party developer and the ongoing development of the site post-acquistion
  • Advising on promotion/option agreements for various national housebuilders
  • Working with a listed residential landlord and developer on the development of a seven-phase site in Hampshire including advising on the complex profit share arrangement with the former landowner
  • Advising a consortium of developers on a prospective 10,000 home development in the southeast of England, including mixed-use and planning and infrastruture agreements
  • Working on the property aspects of the acquisition of a UK company with landholding of 2,500 acres across 26 sites in the UK, generating a pipeline of 13,000 new homes
  • Dealing with the conditional purchase of a disused factory site with significant environmental issues
