Marc Tremblay

A professional engineer and lawyer, Marc Tremblay is a partner and member of Gowling WLG's Montréal office, where he works in the Business Law Group.

Marc's practice is focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and the financing of private corporations, with an emphasis on information technology and manufacturing sectors.

He also negotiates various agreements for the development, licensing, integration, and transfer of technology, the outsourcing of computer services and business processes, as well as the establishment of joint ventures and strategic alliances.

In recent years, Marc has represented numerous major Canadian companies in large multibillion-dollar transactions.

Marc is nationally recognized for his knowledge in transactional technology law and IT law. As such, he has been repeatedly recommended over the years by the Best Lawyers in Canada and Lexpert for his experience in these areas.

Previously, Marc worked as a professional engineer for an engineering consulting firm and, most notably, for Rio Tinto - one of the world's largest mining companies. He also practised law at one of Québec's most prominent independent law firms and at several major Canadian national law firms.
