Maria-Isabelle Noël

Based in Montréal, Maria-Isabelle manages the firm's marketing and administrative translation department and a small team of seasoned translators. She oversees marketing translation requests from the firm's various offices and revises French and English document translations.

In addition to providing ongoing document drafting and editing support for lawyers and the marketing, IT and HR departments, Maria-Isabelle is responsible for outsourcing projects to translation agencies and freelancers for other language needs. Before joining Gowling WLG, she worked for Birks, a Canadian luxury retailer; TV5, an international TV network; and the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Olympic Games.

Maria-Isabelle is fluent in French, English, Spanish and Italian; she has an intermediate knowledge of Japanese and a basic knowledge of German. She completed a certificate in civil law from the University of Montréal in December 2017.
