Matthew Farrell

Matthew Farrell is a scientific research advisor in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office, working in the Business Law Department. 

Matthew is responsible for providing review and analysis of scientific data and publications, preparing science based reports, and filing of complex regulatory submissions on behalf of clients. He uses his knowledge of the Canadian regulatory landscape to provide quality work, and ensure that deadlines and service standards are met and submissions are assessed in a reasonable manner.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Matthew studied at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, where he obtained his bachelor of science specializing in biochemistry. After graduating, Matthew worked at an analytical laboratory. Through these experiences, he gained insight into proper laboratory practices and developed his research skills, which he now applies to his work.
