Nawal Sassi

Nawal Sassi is a summer law student in Gowling WLG's Montréal office. She will start her articling term in 2025.

Nawal is currently completing her third year of the bachelor of civil law degree at the Université de Montréal.

During her studies, Nawal served as a Pro Bono Students Canada volunteer for the Côte-des-Neiges Social Pediatrics Centre, where her involvement earned her a Supreme Court Chief Justice Richard Wagner Award for leadership and exemplary commitment. She also held the position as treasurer of the Law Faculty of the Université de Montréal's Arts Committee.

Nawal completed a community-based internship with Option consommateurs, which involved conducting research and providing legal information to consumers.

Since completing an internship at an artificial intelligence startup, Nawal has taken a keen interest in technology law and intellectual property.
