Nim Tank is an experienced senior associate in the Commercial, IT and Outsourcing team. Nim has experience of advising clients in a broad range of sectors on a wide range of commercial matters including supply and purchase terms, distribution agreements, franchise agreements, IT agreements, business as usual agreements, franchising agreements and legal compliance matters.

Nim has completed a number of key secondments including with:

  • two automotive manufacturers;
  • a global technology products and services provider;
  • a manufacturer of medical devices;
  • a provider of transport and logistics services;
  • the UK's largest tools supplier; and
  • a luxury makeup, skincare and fragrance brand.

The secondment experience means that Nim is very experienced in helping clients achieve pragmatic and commercially focused solutions in relation to both day-to-day contractual matters as well as large and strategically important projects. Nim also implemented new processes whilst working in-house to maximise efficiency, including developing template agreements, introducing various legal policies and document management procedures and providing legal training workshops.

Experience

Nim's recent experience includes:

  • Advising The Birmingham Organising Committee for the 2022 Commonwealth Games Ltd on a range of key commercial contracts.
  • Advising on a catering services agreement for a consortium that owns a national stadium.
  • Drafting an end user licence agreement and a privacy policy for a mobile application developer.
  • Drafting a template supply and retail agreement for a manufacturer of cocoa and chocolate confectionary, under which certain retailers are permitted to exclusively retail the manufacturer's goods.
  • Marking-up and negotiating concession agreements with the UK's top two largest chain of supermarkets on behalf of an American doughnut company and coffeehouse chain.
  • Reviewing and drafting franchise agreements, ancillary franchise documents and advising franchisee clients on key issues around risks and obligations.
