Owen Shave

Owen is a senior associate in Gowling WLG's Corporate, Finance and Tax group. Owen has experience advising clients on a wide range of corporate matters including the terms of shareholder / investment agreements, joint venture agreements, subscription agreements and share purchase documentation related to domestic and cross-border investments in corporate entities and corporate real estate vehicles.

Owen's legal experience includes secondments with the in-house legal teams at Wesleyan Assurance Society and The Best Connection. Consequently, Owen's broad experience of anticipating, dealing and supporting clients on their transactions ensures they are completed efficiently and effectively.

Experience

• Advising Thomas White Oxford Limited's joint venture arrangements to bring forward a £700 million global life sciences district development in Oxford.
• Advising and assisting large domestic residential property developers and investors on joint venture arrangements and other corporate parts in connection with the acquisition and development of land (with private sector and public sector partners). Includes advising on acquisitions of corporate entities holding real estate assets / strategic real estate assets.
• Advising institutional investors with their proposed investment in private funds (including in respect of overseas private funds, e.g. Luxembourg-domiciled).
• Assisting a client with a large scale reorganisation exercise to consolidate and simplify the group structure.
