Philippe Guay

Philippe Guay is an associate in Gowling WLG's Montreal office, practising in the Corporate Restructuring, Insolvency & Advisory and Financial Institutions & Service. He was the recipient of The Yoine Goldstein Book Prize in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law in 2023. The publication of his paper entitled "The Provisional Execution of CCAA Transactions: Fair and Reasonable or Irreparably Prejudicial?" is forthcoming in the Banking and Finance Law Review.

Throughout his studies, Philippe participated in several extracurricular activities, including leading workshops for the Law-Éducation-Connexion program and volunteering with Lawyers Without Borders. He also remained involved in his local community, supporting Little Brothers as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters in the West Island of Montreal.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Philippe worked as a student-at-law at a boutique firm that specializes in litigation and arbitration. He also served as the special assistant to a federal member of Parliament for several years.
