Rafael P. Ferraro

Rafael P. Ferraro is a partner and the leader of Gowling WLG's Construction Litigation Practice Group in Canada. His practice focuses mainly on construction law.

Rafael acts for clients across the construction industry on a broad range of matters, including contractual disputes, claims, and penal cases. He also has significant experience in public procurement contracts, advising on regulatory matters such as obtaining or renewing an authorization to enter into a contract with the State, as well as representing clients in litigation involving public and parapublic bodies.

In addition, Rafael acts in various commercial litigation files, including in extraordinary recourses such as judicial reviews and injunctions, and has experience in media law.

Rafael appears frequently before the Court of Québec, the Superior Court, and the Court of Appeal, as well as before administrative tribunals.

Beyond his legal practice, Rafael sits on the board of not-for-profit organizations and has been actively involved in politics for more than 15 years. His keen interest in the field has led him to work on a variety of electoral legal matters at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels.

Based in the Gowling WLG’s Montreal office, Rafael practises law in English and French.
