Robyn MacDonald

Robyn MacDonald is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office.

Prior to attending law school at the University of Alberta, Robyn completed her BComm with a major in marketing and a minor in finance and economics. Throughout her undergrad, she was a member of the Mount Royal University’s varsity soccer program.

Robyn gained experience in the fintech industry during her 1L summer while working in-house, which fueled her passion for entrepreneurship. As a result, she is interested in pursuing securities and M&A law. Her past research with Canada West Foundation sparked a fascination with economic diversification, which she aims to apply in her legal career. Specifically, Robyn hopes to provide legal services for new market entrants and help them navigate the complexities of venturing into unexplored territories.
