Rosalie Hide is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Hamilton office. As a patent attorney and member of the firm's Intellectual Property Group, her work focuses primarily on the drafting and prosecution of patent applications for clients in the tech sector.
Rosalie’s background in mechanical engineering allows her to deal with IP matters relating to a wide range of technologies and across a variety of industries. Her areas of specialty include construction, manufacturing, agriculture, medical devices and software. Rosalie’s clients range from private inventors to multinational companies, SMEs, start-ups and universities.
Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Rosalie spent five years practising in the United Kingdom for a leading European IP firm. She is experienced in drafting and filing patent applications, patent prosecution, EPO oppositions and oral hearings, as well as providing validity and freedom to operate opinions. She is also experienced in preparing and filing registered design applications in the UK and European Union.
In her spare time, Rosalie can be found outdoors on a hike or on the couch with a book.
