Sana Khan is a summer student in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office. She is currently completing her JD at the University of Calgary.
During her legal studies, Sana is a volunteer with Pro Bono Students Canada.
Prior to attending law school, Sana obtained a bachelor of commerce (human resources) from the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business. She also obtained a bachelor of arts in sociology from the University of Calgary. Both degrees were obtained with distinction.
While completing her undergraduate degrees and law school, Sana has worked at the Alberta Children’s Hospital as an emergency department admitting clerk. Prior to this, Sana was an accounting summer student for a local oilfield service company.
During her undergraduate studies, Sana was president of the University of Calgary’s Mustard Seed club, an organization that raises awareness and funds for the local homeless shelter. Additionally, Sana volunteered with Students for Literacy, where she provided weekly English tutoring sessions to developmentally delayed and ESL students at the University of Calgary. She also volunteers with Hospice Calgary for the annual Hike for Hospice fundraiser.
Sana is most interested in the practice areas of employment, labour, & equalities, mergers & acquisitions, and medical defense & health law.
