Sanjeet Liddar

Sanjeet is part of the commercial development and investment team and specialises in asset management, acting for a mix of property investment clients. Sanjeet advises on commercial real estate acquisitions and financing, leasing, asset management and disposals of all types of real estate assets. Sanjeet is experienced in the negotiation of complex agreements for leases, leases and all supporting documentation and acquisition and sale contracts.

Sanjeet works for institutional investors including Columbia Threadneedle on a number of their different funds, the Pension Protection Fund and Singaporean investor, Stamford Land Corporation Ltd, in respect of their acquisitions in the city of London. Sanjeet also advises Primary Health Properties on the acquisition, letting and disposal of their GP surgeries portfolio. This range of clients leads to a variety of different property management transactions giving Sanjeet a good understanding of the lifecycle of various different property sectors and all landlord and tenant matters.

Sanjeet has developed strong relationships with the clients she works for through her enthusiastic and proactive approach to each transaction, her clear and consistent communication and having a good understanding of their commercial motivations for each transaction she works on.

Experience

  • Acting for Columbia Threadneedle Property Investments on all aspects of their property portfolio across several different funds, including acquisition, asset management and disposal and supervising other members of the team on similar transactions to ensure a consistent approach is taken. Sanjeet is also part of the client relationship team for Columbia Threadneedle, which includes attending all client update meetings and relaying information to the team to ensure a high standard of service is provided at all times and all client KPIs are met.
  • Working with CBRE Global Investors for the Pension Protection Fund on all aspects of their property portfolio including negotiating an agreement for lease including landlord works with a large supermarket chain and the acquisition of an industrial park.
  • Instructed by Nuveen Real Estate to act on the £145,000,000 sale of an industrial park.
  • Instructed by Nuveen Real Estate in respect of the redevelopment of a retail park in greater London, including the negation of a development agreement with their current large retail tenant including negotiating the documents for a surrender of part of their lease for a large consideration and negotiating complex agreements for lease conditional on extensive landlord's works with three well known retailers.
  • Instructed on high value office lease in London for Columbia Threadneedle Property Investments for a rent of in excess of £3,000,000 to a well-known flexible serviced office provider.
  • Acting on the disposal of a large property portfolio, including vendor led due diligence which involved managing a team to produce circa 40 reports on title in a seamless and timely fashion and co-ordinating the enquiries received from the buyer's professional advisors within a tight timeframe to ensure the client achieved their commercial objective within their set timescales.
  • Acting on the acquisition of a central London Property for Stamford Land Corporation to exchange and complete within five working days.
