Sarah Lees

Sarah Lees is a London based senior associate who advises on a wide range of real estate matters with a particular emphasis on development and regeneration.

Sarah's experience includes the acquisition of development sites, land assembly, individual and portfolio sale and purchases as well as asset management. She has experience working in-house for one of London's largest regeneration projects where she advised on the real estate elements of a £600 million refinance of part of the project.

Sarah advises clients on all aspects of development and regeneration work including property due diligence, advising on development constraints and vacant possession strategies to facilitate redevelopment.

Experience

  • Acting for Transport for London and London Underground on their interfaces with a number of mixed use developments. This involves establishing arrangements to enable developments to proceed whilst ensuring the safety and operation of the transport system, passengers and staff is fully protected.
  • Acting for the London Borough of Ealing on the disposal of long leasehold interests in eight sites in the borough to a wholly owned subsidiary for redevelopment to deliver affordable housing with a variety of tenures, contributing towards the council's commitment to make the best use of council land to increase the number of genuinely affordable new homes.
  • Advising the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and their wholly owned subsidiary on lease drawdowns and pre-lets of commercial units as well as advising on the property aspects for a site-wide energy centre to facilitate a new energy-efficient civic campus for the community.
  • Acting for the London Borough of Barnet in relation to site assembly matters to facilitate the delivery of the Brent Cross redevelopment project which will see the creation of a new town centre, new homes, parks and community facilities.
