Saskia Smellie

Saskia is a commercial lawyer in Gowling WLG's Commercial, IT and Outsourcing team in London.

She advises and helps clients with drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts across a variety of sectors including international trade, technology (specifically non-contentious data protection and IT matters), food and retail, automotive, and real estate.

Saskia has a diverse client base including food, product and car manufacturers, data centre operators, energy providers, property funds, pub chains and non-profit organisations.

Saskia also regularly supports pro bono clients, having recently worked with the Ethical Tea Partnership and the Royal National Institute for Blind People. A secondment to Oxfam has provided Saskia with first-hand experience of the charity sector and the roles and responsibilities of in-house legal teams.
