Shuang Ren

Shuang Ren is an articling student in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office.

Shuang completed her JD at Osgoode Hall Law School. During her studies, Shuang was a fellow in the IP Innovation Clinic, providing legal information to start-ups to facilitate the innovation and commercialization process. In addition, she was a member of the Osgoode Mooting Society and the researcher for the 2021 Harold G. Fox IP Moot team. As part of the IP Intensive program, Shuang interned at a Canadian quantum technology company, assisting with the development of patent portfolio and IP strategy.

Prior to entering law school, Shuang received a Master of Science in Materials Science and Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Processing and Control Engineering. She passed the bar exam in China and previously worked as a senior lecturer at a university in Shanghai.
