Soohyun Kim

Soohyun Kim is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office.

Soohyun obtained a dual JD/LLL degree in the Programme de droit canadien at the University of Ottawa.

During her studies, Soohyun worked as a research assistant at the Supreme Court of Canada. She also was involved in many extracurricular activities. Soohyun was Vice-President of Internal Communications on her Faculty’s student government and held executive positions in both the International Commercial Trade Law Students Association and the Canadian Law Program Student Society. In addition, Soohyun volunteered as a mentor in the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program. In 2021, she competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court.

Prior to entering law school, she completed an undergraduate degree in International Development and Globalization (Honours) at the University of Ottawa, where she spent a semester abroad at Korea University in Seoul, South Korea.
