Stephanie advises Trustees on a wide range of pension issues - from the day to day member queries, to larger projects such as the impact of a company restructure on a pension scheme and project managing demerger and wind up projects.

Pensions is a complex area and Stephanie balances technical knowledge with a commercial approach producing clear, plain English advice to her clients. Stephanie enjoys getting to know her clients and working as a team, which ensures that legal advice is delivered in line with the broader client picture.

Stephanie has a particular interest in defined contribution schemes and manages Gowling WLG's defined contribution special interest group, ensuring that the latest legislative requirements and guidance are understood and communicated to clients in straightforward and effective way.

Experience

  • Drafting responses on member queries - from day to day advice to Trustees to formal IDRP responses;
  • Project managing covenant support restructuring and renewal projects;
  • Project managing a scheme demerger project;
  • Providing advice in respect of both DB and DC scheme wind ups; and
  • Advising Trustees on DC bulk transfers to master trusts.
