Stephen C Kenny

Stephen Kenny is a UK based projects partner advising on government and infrastructure projects in the UK and globally. He has over 20 years' experience of advising private sector bidders, funders and government bodies on a wide range of projects including public private partnerships (PPPs), alliancing/partnering arrangements and other complex commercial outsourcing contracts. Stephen's experience covers projects in the defence, transport (including airports, air traffic control, rail), energy/environment and social infrastructure sectors. He has a detailed knowledge of bankable risk positions, government guidance, public  procurement and State Aid issues.

In addition to his projects expertise, Stephen has over ten years' experience advising on high value corporate finance and banking transactions particularly in the advanced engineering sector in the UK and internationally. 

Outside work

Stephen is a Council Member of Newman University, Birmingham.

Experience

Stephen's recent experience includes:

  • advising the UK Ministry of  Defence on Project Marshall a £1.6bn outsourcing of the military air traffic control system in the UK, the Falkland Islands and Cyprus
  • advising a major US defence contractor on its contractual arrangements on a major defence equipment programme
  • advising on a significant variation to a serviced accommodation PFI project of a major government facility
  • advising a UK airport operator on the development of it facilities
  • advising a leading global infrastructure fund on its secondary market purchase of primary health facilities
  • advising South London Waste Partnership on an energy from waste PPP
