Stephen Kroeger

Stephen is an associate lawyer in Gowling WLG's Calgary office. His practice focuses on restructuring and insolvency.

Stephen assists creditors with their collection efforts and debtors in restructuring their financial affairs and represents creditors, debtors, trustees and receivers in formal insolvency proceedings under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and receivership applications. He also has experience obtaining extraordinary remedies such as injunctions and emergency orders.

Stephen has successfully represented clients before the Court of King's Bench of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Justice. Stephen also has experience getting results for clients outside of the courtroom at mediations and arbitrations.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Stephen practised in the Litigation Group of an international law firm in Edmonton, Alberta.
