Sunny Yun

Sunny Yun is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office. Sunny will focus her summer work in the Business Law Group.

Sunny is completing her fourth and final year of the JD/MBA program at the University of Toronto. Her favourite subject in law school to date has been Securities Regulation. Sunny’s extracurricular activities at the University of Toronto have included the JD/MBA Students Association, Faculty of Law Art Association, Law Women’s Human Rights Resources Working Group, Critical Analysis of Law Journal, Rotman Entertainment and Media Association, and Rotman Women in Management Association.

Prior to entering law school, Sunny studied in the interdisciplinary Arts and Science program at McMaster University, with a concentration in history. Her thesis focused on the NAACP litigation strategy in Brown v. Board of Education (1954). While studying at McMaster University, Sunny was a live-in community advisor (or resident assistant) and served as the editor-in-chief of a creative arts and writing publication called Incite Magazine.
