Valérie Pelchat

Valérie Pelchat is a summer law student in Gowling WLG's Toronto office.

Valérie earned law degrees in both Common Law and Civil Law at the University of Ottawa. In addition to her studies, she worked as a research assistant at the Supreme Court of Canada, and for Professor Claude Emanuelli in the field of private international law.

Valérie has also competed in the Laskin Moot. Her team was awarded the prize for the best factum. In her last year of studies, Valérie participated in the Willem C. Vis Moot, where she earned an honourable mention as an oralist.

Prior to attending law school, Valérie trained as a professional ballet dancer and graduated from the École supérieure de ballet du Québec.

Valérie will focus her summer working in Gowling WLG's Advocacy Department.
