Investment and Risk: the impact of building safety reforms on the living sectors
10 juin 2025
09:00-13:30
What are the practical and commercial implications of building safety reforms when investing in the living sectors? Our team of experts will share first-hand experience of applying the complex legislation to real transactions and explore what the future holds in this evolving area.
The team are also delighted to be joined by Tim Galloway (HSE Building Safety Regulator Deputy Director) and Paul Nash (Past-President and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and member of the Building Advisory Committee), who will be on hand to share their valuable insights.
The Building Safety Act 2022 has transformed the landscape for those developing and investing in living sector assets. Demand in the sector remains strong, but developing and investing in homes comes with a complex web of regulatory responsibilities. We will explore the practical, legal and reputational factors that need to be considered, including how the courts and tribunals are now beginning to apply the legislation.
The morning will start at 09:00 and the sessions will end by 12:45, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions. We would be delighted if you can join us for lunch after the sessions end.
Sessions will include:
