Arielle Sie-Mah is an associate lawyer in Gowling WLG's Calgary office, practising in the Employment, Labour & Equalities and Privacy groups.
In her employment practice, Arielle advises employers on human resources, employment standards, human rights and privacy, and labour relations in all aspects of the employment relationship from pre-employment hiring issues to performance management, termination and post-employment obligations. Arielle also regularly drafts and advises on employment aspects of corporate transactions.
In her privacy practice, Arielle advises organizations on privacy compliance and data protection issues, including compliance with the Personal information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), provincial privacy laws and laws governing the protection of health information. Arielle regularly drafts privacy policies and data protection agreements.
Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Arielle gained experience advising and assisting employers in all areas of workplace law at a national boutique labour and employment firm in Toronto. She also worked as an associate at a Calgary boutique labour and employment firm, where she advised and represented trade unions and employees on all areas of labour and employment law in Alberta.
Arielle volunteers with Calgary Legal Guidance, where she provides pro bono legal advice to low-income individuals.
