Bren Albiston

Bren is a member of our Pensions Disputes team. He has significant experience advising on a wide range of contentious and potentially contentious matters. These include advising trustees, employers, advisors and administrators on issues such as errors in scheme documentation and administrative practice, as well as regulatory issues and how best to mitigate the effects of those issues. Where they cannot be mitigated by other means, Bren has significant experience in advising clients in bringing and defending subsequent rectification, construction and negligence claims.

Bren also has extensive experience of responding to claims brought by individual scheme members, through both internal disputes resolution procedures and court litigation, arising from such matters as transfers, the provision of allegedly incorrect information, failures to prevent transfers to pension liberation schemes and the provision of negligent advice.

Beyond this, Bren has experience of advising in relation to statutory pension schemes, as well as regulatory issues, within both the remit of the FCA and the Pensions Regulator.
