Derek Young practises exclusively as a litigator. He has represented clients at all levels of British Columbia's Provincial and Superior Courts, as well as before various provincial and federal tribunals.
His broad litigation practice includes commercial disputes, breach of trust and fiduciary duty claims, as well as debt recovery and other forms of creditors' remedies.
Derek is goal-oriented, with a clear appreciation as to both the merits and pitfalls of litigation. When necessary, he strives to help his clients muster the best evidence possible, through the coordinated use of forensic accountants, actuaries, and other experts.
Derek takes pride in his candour and pragmatism, both of which have served him well in offering balanced and constructive counsel to his clients.
