
Bio
Duncan Baird is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office. He has completed his first year of study for his juris doctor in Common Law at the University of Ottawa.
Prior to entering law school, Duncan completed his honours bachelor of health sciences with a minor in history at the University of Ottawa. During this time, Duncan was a member of the University of Ottawa’s Gee-Gees football team as a linebacker. Following his bachelor’s degree, Duncan completed a master of neuroscience at the University of Ottawa, where he conducted his research on the proteomic mapping of dopamine receptors.
Duncan has prior work experience in both the financial sector as well as in fitness, where he taught kickboxing fitness for three years.
Duncan is an avid fan of all sports, having played hockey, soccer, football and many others. He is also an amateur nature photographer and is always eager to get outdoors and go for a hike.
Duncan will focus his summer term in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group.
