Henry Lougher

Henry is a Senior Associate who advises trustees and employers on all aspects of pensions law. He is a member of Gowling WLG's industry-leading Pensions Disputes and Pensions Risk Transfer teams.

Henry specialises in helping clients to resolve disputes and issues involving pension schemes. This work includes handling High Court litigation, including cases involving the rectification and interpretation of scheme rules, professional negligence claims relating to liability driven investments, and disputes with pension scheme administrators. Henry also acts for representative beneficiaries in cases brought seeking rulings from the court about meaning and effect of scheme rules.

Henry also advises trustees, employers and insurers on a wide range of pensions risk transfer work. He has assisted trustees on their de-risking journey, from purchasing a bulk annuity through to buy-out and scheme wind-up, as well as insurers on complex residual risks transactions and pre-exclusivity due diligence exercises.
