Jenna Kara

Jenna Kara is an associate in Gowling WLG's Toronto office. Jenna practises in the firm's Advocacy Group and is involved in a wide variety of complex commercial litigation matters.
Jenna regularly volunteers with Pro Bono Ontario's Free Legal Advice Hotline and is an active member of the Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association, Toronto Lawyer's Association and The Advocates' Society. Committed to community engagement, Jenna serves on the board of directors for Equality Effect, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting African girls impacted by sexual violence. Jenna is also an active member of Toronto's Momentum Committee whose mandate is to develop, implement and advance the firm's diversity, inclusion and equity strategy.
Jenna completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Toronto, Master's of Science degree in Medical Biophysics (Molecular Imaging) at Western University and her Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours) degree at Western University.
During her legal studies, Jenna acted as co-editor-in-chief for the Journal of Law and Equality for the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law. She also participated in the 2020 Winkler Class Actions Moot, in which her team took first place in the finals.
