John L. Ross

John Ross is a partner in Gowling WLG's Toronto office, practising in the areas of corporate finance and corporate/commercial law, with an emphasis on mergers, acquisitions, securities, secured financing and asset securitization.

John serves as a director of a number of private corporations carrying on business in multiple industry sectors, including manufacturing, service and technology.

John taught Business Law at the Law Society of Upper Canada's Bar Admission Course for 15 years. He has authored articles on business law topics, including securities and corporate law, foreign investment review and personal property security matters.

John is an active participant in charitable and community groups, including service as president and director of the University Settlement Recreation Centre. He has received Volunteer Recognition Awards from the Province of Ontario and the City of Toronto in recognition of his volunteer efforts.
